More than a decade ago, Speedco granted its first wish to Make-A-Wish in Indiana. With that wish, the team recognized the importance of granting wishes and decided to give back in an even bigger way.
In 2005, Speedco commissioned the famous Orange County Choppers custom shop to build a custom one-of-a-kind Speedco chopper. After a grand celebration and unveiling of the Speedco chopper at the 2006 Mid America Truck Show, Speedco made its first large donation to Make-A-Wish for $100,000.
Inspired by the organization, Speedco set an internal company goal to raise $500,000 in the next 7-10 years. Speedco exceeded that goal in 2013 and established a new internal pledge to donate $1 million by 2017, with the theme of "March to a Million."
Throughout the years, Speedco stores have collected donations from customers and community members right in the stores, making it easy for everyone to get involved. Each year, Speedco hosts a wish party and helps to grant the wish of a local child in the Speedco community.
With all of these efforts, Speedco has proudly donated more than $650,000 to Make-A-Wish since 2006. Speedco customers and teammates have been a huge part of the company's ability to support our communities.
Thank you for helping us support Make-A-Wish. We hope you'll continue to join our company-wide efforts and help us reach our $1 million goal.
